She works across a range of representational media, drawing inspiration from social history, art history and the urban landscape. Recent focuses of her practice include portraiture, scenes of labour and protest, and the depiction of architecture and urban spaces through pen and ink sketching. She counts amongst her inspirations artists such as Käthe Kollwitz, Anders Zorn, Alice Neal and Barbara Walker.
