STAF supports the arts community by working with independent, self producing artists and those driving artist-led organisations, to help them achieve a step change in their careers.

STAF prioritises work with artists whose practices tie into our core activities – the issues we are concerned with, the people we represent, and embedded injustice, discrimination and exploitation.

Building a bespoke package of support in consultation with the artist to ensure that their work can be delivered in a safe and sustainable way, whilst building allies and driving impact.

Often this includes advocating for these artists in institutional spaces not used to their work, as well as negotiating any disconnect between their lived experience and the existing development, commissioning and funding models.

In the past 18 months, the STAF team have supported artists include; HighRise Entertainment, Selina Thompson, Hunt and Darton, Le Gateau Chocolat, Raze Collective, FK Alexander and Faggamuffin Bloc Party, and before this, Split Britches, Tim Crouch, The Famous Lauren Barri Holstein, and Liz Carr.
